I have achieved my goal
I have been training with Sanyu fitness for about 2 years now, when I first met with my trainer we sat down and spoke about what I wanted to achieve and what time frame I wanted to achieve this within. My trainer was very detailed in the questions he asked me, about my current fitness levels and my diet. I was made to feel very comfortable discussing my goals with my trainer, he explained realistic ways of how we would work together to achieve them.
My first session with my Sanyu Fitness personal trainer was one I was apprehensive about; I thought I would be pushed to the maximum and fail to walk out of the gym unaided. The session commenced with a warm up and then we got into the program, my trainer pushed me to where he felt I was working hard. We took regular water breaks and he performed each exercise to demonstrate.
He made sure my form was correct and I was performing the work-out properly to avoid any injuries. I felt he was very professional and very knowledgeable. Happy to say when I left I was able to walk out of the gym myself and felt that I had worked out properly, I was eager to return.

I love the challenges
My training was boring until I started training with Harold. I don’t think I will ever go back training on my own. He pushes you beyond you believe and he knows me more than I know myself. He know my capabilities and my limits. Honestly, Am stronger than I have ever been and my fitness has never been better. He is very bossy and serious when we are in the gym but I like that. He stimulates me to keep pushing and his belief in me makes me value him as a person. He doesn’t just want you to be good in the gym, he actually cares about your well-being and is always available with helpful tips, information and guidance. A consummate trainer
Harold is a consummate trainer, he consistently inspires me to lose weight as well as become physically fit. I never knew what working out in the gym meant until he trained me. He manages to strike the perfect balance between being inspirational and tough. He is generous with his knowledge of nutrition and always gives me great nutritional advice. Due to training with Sanyu Fitness I have had the confidence to enter a 3 peaks climb within 24 hours and a try-a-triathlon which consists of swimming 250m, cycling 11k and running 2.5k. I would never have had the confidence to enter if I had not trained with Harold. He always wants the best results for his clients and he always keeps training interesting and challenging. I like the fact that Harold also holds in-door spin classes I can attend which also take my fitness to a new level. I look forward to the Sessions
All I wanted was to reduce my stomach, Harold me understand the concept of full body exercising. He made me understand why it’s important to train the whole body rather than just reducing my stomach. My flexibility is very poor and he was able to pick that up within the first session and we work on improving that through developmental stretches (I now know what developmental stretches are). Having had 2 personal trainers in the past I genuinely believe not many personal trainers take that extra care of their clients but that’s all Sanyu Fitness does. They just seem to want to go that extra mile every time. And because they care about me and my goals I actually look forward to each session. Keep it up.
Values my time and money
He just knows how to push the right buttons to get you to believe in yourself. Your fitness level is not important, all he wants to know is your goals and he will get you there. Harold is tough and serious when it’s time to work out, almost a different person but I appreciate the fact that he takes his job serious and values my time and money. I also love the variety of exercises, every session is never the same but he still focuses on the goal. But what I appreciate most is his ability to make you laugh during training and keep you motivated. Take it from me, you will be amazed how fit and confident you will become.
I sweat every time
I used to train with a different personal trainer and when I found Sanyu Fitness and really didn’t know what I was signing up for or what to expect. I never used to sweat but with Harold I sweat every time. He takes my goals seriously (too seriously if you ask me) and here is the thing, I like that. By the end of each session you feel like superman, like you have complete a tough challenge but only to repeat it two day later. He is serious, he is crazy, he is fun and he is addictive.”
For me Sanyu Fitness embodies feeling fit, being fit, and most importantly doing it the right way.
Harold really does practise what he preaches in terms of healthy body and healthy mind, where the emphasis on making a real and positive difference is based on a lifestyle choice, not just a couple of hours working hard in the gym. However, in the gym is where it all starts, and he quickly knows what areas you want to work on, and how you can exercise effectively to achieve the results you want.
He does push you hard, but if he didn’t then I wouldn’t class him as a good trainer!
He knows your capabilities and makes sure he pushes you outside your comfort zone. But the encouragement he gives when he knows you are finding it tough is what sets him out from the rest. He strikes just the right balance between pushing you, encouragement, challenging you, and knowing when to be firm – but manages to do it all in a light tone!
At the end of the session you will have done a very intense workout (and your body will obviously ache all over), but you leave the gym feeling proud of yourself that you took your training to a harder level and the results you wanted do come!
